L’intérêt bien tardif que, contrairement à la France et au Royaume-Uni, portent aujourd’hui l’Allemagne et les Pays-Bas sur la région indopacifique, le suivisme européen des États-Unis dans le cadre de l’OTAN, font craindre que le schéma otanien historiquement adopté face à la Russie toujours considérée comme une menace, ne soit transposé face à la Chine, voire à la Russie d’aujourd’hui en contribuant à un nouveau renforcement de ces deux partenaires stratégiques.
